4/14: Fargo/Cass County to Shut Down Sandbag Operations:
CASS COUNTY, N.D. – The Sandbag Cass operation produced 141,000 sandbags with the help of over 1,500 volunteers through the first three days. Cass County officials are confident that the goal of 200,000 sandbags will be met by the end of the day on Friday and have elected to shut down operations before the weekend. An additional 30 volunteers are still needed for time shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Sandbag Cass operation will continue to be set up if additional sandbags are needed. Individuals that signed up to volunteer over the weekend or through next week will be contacted regarding this change.
